LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

The UIS Summer Camp is all about communicating in English while making new friends, having fun and taking part in activities that appeal to each child’s interests.

Each day there are targeted  English Language lessons following  the Internationally recognised Cambridge English: Young Learners programme, which ensures that the children increase their vocabulary and build confidence using new phrases to communicate their ideas!

ACTIVITIES

A selection of motivating indoor and outdoor activities are offered in the English language each morning and afternoon, and students can sign up to learn a new skill or share their talents with their new friends!

S.T.E.M. CHALLENGES

Afternoon activities also include STEM CHALLENGES!  With the encouragement and supervision of our enthusiastic staff, children can use their English language skills, collaborative ability and natural curiosity to find the best solution to a problem using SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING or MATHS! For example, we might ask them to create the sparkliest slime, make a robot dance or build a tower using just straws and marshmallows!
